The SAMMO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL’S Writers, Debaters and Drama Club (WDDC) is organizing its inaugural DRAMA FESTIVAL (DramaFest) 2013 on Saturday, 23rd February to encourage young artistes, aspiring producers, potential script writers and directors to express their talent and expertise.
The Sammo WDDC is a conglomeration of student artists of various media - print, stage and speech. In conforming to a long held SAMMO tradition, this club's productions are among the best in the top Senior High Schools in the Central Region of Ghana. Sammosec's theater productions date back to the early 2000s, when the school constantly staged public plays in English and Akan at the Centre for National Culture (CNC), Cape Coast. Each year, the drama club receives numerous requests to perform at various entertainment functions within and outside the Central Region of Ghana.
